Questions
Who counts as an active committer?
A distinct author email (folded through .mailmap) with at least one commit authored in the last 30 days, among the commits your pipeline builds. Bots such as Dependabot, Renovate and github-actions are excluded, and you can add your own service accounts. td license status shows the count and the bot list, computed on your machines; no names or emails are sent anywhere.
What happens if we go over our seats?
Up to 20% over (at least one person) is fine. Above that, TestDetta keeps working and warns in every job summary for 30 days. Only if you are still over after that does it run every test, as it would without a license. It never fails a build.
What happens when the license expires?
Warnings start 14 days before. After the end date every test runs again, exactly as before you installed TestDetta. Builds keep passing or failing on their own merits.
Does TestDetta send our code anywhere?
No. Analysis, coverage maps and test runs stay in your CI. The only network call is an optional daily license refresh that sends the license itself; set TESTDETTA_LICENSE_REFRESH=off to turn it off.
Who handles payment and invoices?
Polar Software, Inc. is our merchant of record: it takes payment, charges the right sales tax or VAT, and issues invoices. Your license arrives by email right after checkout.
Can we get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of a payment. See the refund policy.
